Selling in 2012 will take home appeal
REAL Trends - Housing market news - Updated December 15, 2011
Over
the apst year the Northeast is closing more sales, but the sale prices are down. The biggest movers are
the low end price range; possibly do to some of the first time buyers taking advantage of the market and certainly some investors
picking up rental properties.
So what should your focus be on if you are moving this year?
“Appeal “
Buyers today have their choice of properties and they
are going to look for the house that is the best value and least costs. These costs include repairs, needed remodeling, outdated
decorating, undesirable floor plan, etc.
Hard on the sellers having so much competition, and with values still showing a level to slow
slide down in early 2012 it may not be a good choice to do any major changes to your house. BUT there are inexpensive changes
you can do to your house to help it appeal to buyers and stick out from the pack. Listed nelow are some of the
items you need to pay attention to, because your buyers are!
If a move is in your future for 2012, give me a call and I will be happy to do a walk through of your
house and see how you can change the appeal to suit today’s buyers and get a successful sale.
